| Everyone involved at last seems to understand that the mode here is comic. Previous entries suffered from self-important glumness that gummed up the fun whenever the cars weren't racing. Damon Smith-Birmingham Post Insane and repetitive, but fans will lap (ahem) up this brainless, nitrate-injected sequel. Lewis Bazley-Little White Lies Once you're hooked to its towbar, it's hard to let go. Elliott Noble-Sky Movies These films embrace their silliness, and director Justin Lin moves the film along at such an exciting pace that your cerebral cortex never has time to tell you everything that's impossibly stupid about the action you've witnessed.
